Post 29 HAPPY MONDAY - The short blog!

Monday! You sassy fiend! You're back!

See, Monday never gives up. EVER.

We should all be like Monday.

I think I've made my point.

Post 26. The day of 'I don't wanna!'

Must be Monday!

My kids wouldn't get out of bed, the rain won't let up, I didn't want to do my workout, didn't want to write and most certainly didn't want to do my chores.
Nope, all I want to do is take a nap and watch some shows on Netflix while stuffing my face with watermelon.

BUT if I don't get the kids out of bed, they won't go to school and there will be screaming, running and chasing and extra clean-up to do. So I got them up, fed and dressed them and took their asses to school.

If I didn't do my workout, I won't get fit and I won't have stamina, to keep up with aforenamed children. So I got home (soaking wet, thanks, rain!), put on my workout clothes, collected my gear and videos and got to work.

If I don't write, I won't have pages to rewrite, edit and love/hate them. I won't be able to get my characters from point A to B, no one gets anywhere at all. So I filled my coffee cup and dragged my butt over to the computer and start revising. My Beta tester already got my book and instead of waiting around nervously, I am working on the second installment.

If I don't do my chores, well, the house will simply get dirtier and dirtier. I can almost live with that, until, I think about my son's friends coming over and leaving covered in dust bunnies and grime.
Damn it! I haul ass and do my chores.

Almost my exact expression.

Now, I feel good in my skin after working out, my mind is satisfied with the ideas I managed to get down on paper and my home is reasonably clean. Nothing I can do about the rain but instead of disliking it as I did this morning, I think it's lovely and the perfect weather to do some reading.

At least, until my son comes home, then we can do some homework and then I shall do my best not to let him kill me in Minecraft or Lego Marvel Superheros. (I make no promises, the guy is ruthless)

This is my way of dealing with Mondays. Just get on with it and it will get better.

Post 11. The weekend and Monday is BACK! Oh, and pretzels!

Crap, it's Monday again!

The weekend was pretty good, considering it rained and snowed the entire time! Ze man came back after being gone for 2 weeks (because of work) and the kids and I were happy to have him. He even managed to bring us pretzels from Germany. He had a stop-over there and picked us up a few. Sluuuuurp, they are so delish!

(Not the actual pretzels, they got eaten too fast!)

This Monday offered me MORE rain with a touch of wind, it offered an eye infection to my youngest, a pretend stomach ache to my middle child and lazy bones syndrome to my oldest.
If you are a parent or know one (or few), you will know how difficult it can be to get them out of bed in the morning. If it's a weekday! Because same time on the weekend the kids wake YOU up!
I practically had to drag my oldest out of bed this morning, tell the middle child she just had gas (which she proved while I was helping her with her shoes!) and take my youngest on a stroll to the pharmacy. (Just in case sterilized water doesn't work)
I'm hoping I don't have to take her to a doctor but we will wait for morning to find out. It should be interesting, to say the least, since we were appointed a doctor to take care of the family if someone got sick or infected or so on.
Since we moved to Norway we've had no need of him and I shudder at the idea of pronouncing his name. I think it's safe to say, I'm going to get it wrong! I've actually asked a few people if they know of to pronounce the man's name, this is how I assured myself the doctor was a male, and so far I have found no one. So here's hoping I can be charming enough to not come off as a total A-hole.
Of course, none of that might have to happen, if my youngest's infection clears up. Crossing fingers!

But I am proud since my little one is 2 1/2 years old and didn't complain once in our long walk this morning. It might have had something to do with the cookie I got her, though.
As is often the case with sick kids at home, I am running a bit behind today, and I forgot to get dinner out of the freezer.... Hot dogs for dinner! Whoa, wild Monday!!
My editing is close to completion and hopefully I can get this book published somewhere. I'll keep you posted.

Hope your Monday is going well.

Post Nr. 6 Monday baby!

All righty then! Monday... The day most of the internet loves to hate, am I right?
Being a stay at home mom, however, this is me on Mondays

I'm also like that meme when the kids go back to school after summertime, just on crack! By crack, I mean I will manage my chores in under an hour and watch Unbreakable while eating snacks which I told my man the kids ate. YEP.

Not to worry, today I worked out when I got back from the school run, I cleaned up the apartment and then got myself clean and got my butt to the store to get groceries. Once I got back home, the plan was to edit my novel and write this blog.

I had an hour before my son was due home from school and I'll admit it, I was exhausted already. I've been home alone with the kids for over a week now and I think any stay at home parent will agree with me, the weekends are very taxing. So, for the hour I had, I sat on the couch and watched Netflix for an hour while eating lunch.

Son came home on time and we just finished homework, where I almost got into an argument with his math project. Ended up sending a picture of it to his father, who's much better at math than I am, because I'm sure I'm right and the math is wrong. (Either way, the example didn't add up to what we needed it too.)
So, I am looking forward to an evening of editing, not complaining because I've set myself a goal to finish this revision next week. When it's ready, I'll start submitting it and carry on writing my other novels.
Anyone else out there, with more than one book/story they want to finish, cause I have a list of them at this point.

Now, on the other hand, I have to start getting dinner ready since I'm trying to get the family to eat at Norwegian dinner time, but more on that later. Like tomorrow!

Toodles.
